Sinsa

The Seoul lifestyle has finally caught up with me, so following doctors orders I took a rest this weekend and put the soju on hold. I feel oh so much better after my first sober weekend in seoul and have dedicated one weekend a month to feeling this fantastic from now on!

This weekend was my first time exploring Sinsa (Sinsa-dong Garosu-gil),  a european area of seoul. My list of favorite places in seoul continues to grow, Sinsa has now been added to the top ten! Garsosu-gil means tree-lined streets, which fills the Sinsa area. Sinsa has the loveliest european cafes which make you feel guilt-free when splurging on a delicious and well needed pasta or pizza. It's most defiantly worth the 30 minute subway ride!

Cafe Sognare in Sinsa is an expensive but delicious cafe with a great patio overlooking the tree-lined streets.

Seoul's lantern's festival begun this weekend by city hall. We really wanted to stick to our plans of relaxing this weekend so we thought it would be the perfect thing to see on such a warm fall evening. Immediately after getting off the subway we were hit with insane crowds, which is a daily occurrence in seoul, but this time the crowds were everywhere! apparently koreans love this festival and were willing to wait an hour to get a glimpse, we on the other hand were not! We headed to hongdae and went to cafe coma for a relaxing night!

Sunday is the only time where seoul becomes somewhat quite and a little less crowded. After a busy week and weekend i look forward to sundays for some peace and quiet.

                                                           Letters home!
Cafe St 255 is yet another of the many hidden gems in hongdae tucked away down a side street. The girls and i decided to dedicate sunday to hiding away from the rain and writing letters home. This cafe has definitely become a new favorite of mine, not only do you get delicious gummy bears with your tea but they also serve wine, perfect!
