Dr. Fish

The weather in seoul has been greater than great! The days are getting much longer and brighter, making everyone excited for spring. Saturday I met kristin and jenn in Gangnam to go to Dr. Fish spa and cafe for the afternoon. Gangnam is one of the my favourite areas. The shopping is ridiculous good and it has the greatest looking people in seoul, perfect for spending a saturday afternoon shopping and getting pumped for saturday night!

After some confusion we finally found Dr. Fish and after enjoying our coffees we headed over to the baths where two baths of hungry fish were waiting for us. The first bath was filled with rather large, and scary looking fish. So, considering it was our first time we chose the bath with a few baby fish. We nervously put our feet into the bath and waited for the fish to come feast. After the first bite, which sort of tickles, I made up my mind and was not a fan. Jenn and i gave it a few more tries, but after i embarrassingly screamed every time they nibbled i decided to give up. Kristin on the other hand enjoyed it and left pleased with her fish pedicure!

Saturday night I met friends in Sinchon for mexican food to celebrate morgan getting accepted to law school! The night began with a rather large pitcher then progressed to drinks at HO bar, then bottle service, then dancing at mansion. Crawling into bed at 6am made me realize spring fun has begun!
Today was spent with the crew eating our famous hangover brunch at focaccia in hongdae then checking out the new Aland in hongdae...which always results in a dent in my bank account eeeek! It's 7pm here on sunday and I couldn't think of a better time to go to bed!

My favourite part of my subway journey home from hongdae is after Dangsan station where you get an amazing view of the Han river. Looking out at the Han river while on the subway home after a day with lovely friends always makes me smile and feel so happy. Every time i pass it i feel so at home in this city!

graduation day!

After six months teaching my babies, graduation day finally arrived! Although i sometimes feel as though i'm losing my mind running around after these babies, at the end of the day i truly love my job. Saying bye to some of my babies yesterday made me realize how rewarding my job really is. I am very lucky to go to work every morning and see such happy, hilarious, loving and entertaining kids! Next month i will be teaching korean age six year olds, which in canada is 4 -5 year olds, ahhh wish me luck!
Here are some pictures of my babies on graduation, some of them dressed up as what they want to become when they are older. Ray won by dressing up as a tourist!!!
